Can dogs eat raspberries?
Yes, in moderation Yes, in moderation. Raspberries are low in sugar and calories, but eat a lot and they can upset the stomach.
Why
Raspberries give fibre, vitamins and antioxidants (AKC). They contain a little natural xylitol, more than most fruits, but far below the dose known to harm dogs, which is why AKC calls them safe in moderation. Too many can cause vomiting or diarrhoea.
How to give it safely
Fresh or frozen, plain and unsweetened, a few at a time. Puppies can have a small amount, introduced gradually.
This is general guidance, your vet sets the actual schedule. Puppies, small dogs and dogs with a health condition can react to smaller amounts. Check with your own vet before changing what your dog eats.
