About Puplr
Puplr is a free set of puppy tools that work out dates and numbers instead of making you do it on the back of an envelope.
Why it exists
Bringing a puppy home dumps a pile of admin on you in week one. Three or four vaccinations at ages nobody writes down as dates. Worming every two weeks, from a date you have to remember. A feeding amount that changes as the puppy grows. Most of the answers online are American, which is fine if you are American and quietly wrong if you are not.
Puplr does the arithmetic. You give it a date of birth and a country, it gives you a schedule with real dates you can print or drop into a calendar. Same for feeding amounts and adult size.
How the information is sourced
The schedules come from published veterinary guidelines, not from blogs. The main ones are the WSAVA global vaccination guidelines, the AAHA canine vaccination guidelines in the United States, the Australian Veterinary Association, the British Veterinary Association and BSAVA in the United Kingdom, and the parasite guidance from ESCCAP in Europe and CAPC in the United States. Every schedule page lists its sources at the bottom with links, and every breed page links the kennel club page its numbers came from.
Where guidelines disagree with each other, and they do, the site says so rather than picking a winner. The final puppy dose age and the timing of the first booster are both live disagreements between organisations.
What Puplr is not
It is not veterinary advice and it cannot be. It does not know your puppy, your postcode, the disease pressure on your street, or what your clinic stocks. Every tool ends with the same instruction: take it to your vet. See the disclaimer.
How it pays for itself: affiliate disclosure
One way, disclosed. Puplr carries no display advertising at all. The only money the site makes comes from affiliate links: Amazon links in the kit boxes and the My dog hub, and two partner rows, JustAnswer and Petlibro, through the MaxBounty network. Affiliate links: Puplr may earn a commission at no cost to you. As an Amazon Associate, Puplr earns from qualifying purchases.
Every box that holds those links says so above the links, and every affiliate link is marked rel="sponsored nofollow" in the page source. Products in those boxes are chosen because a puppy needs them, not because of what they pay. Puplr never quotes prices, because prices change and stale prices are worse than none. How we write buying guides
The kit lists and the buying guides help you choose kinds of kit for your dog. They are buying guides, not product reviews, and they are written this way:
- We do not test products. No guide claims to have used anything it links to. Each one says how it was put together instead.
- Sources first. Every claim comes from a source that was opened and read, quoted word for word where it is quoted, and listed at the bottom of the guide. Numbers come from those sources or from Puplr's own data files, such as the breed records and the crate sizing chart.
- No product names without proof. Links go to search results for the country you pick, so you compare current products, prices and reviews yourself. A product is only named when an independent body has certified it, and then the credit and the link go to that body.
- No prices, ratings or review counts. They change daily and we cannot check them.
- Drafted with AI, checked against the sources. Guides are drafted with an AI writing tool, then checked line by line against every source listed before they go up.
- Dated and corrected. Each guide shows when it was last reviewed, and its source links are checked every month. If you spot something wrong, the contact details are below.
The Amazon links in the guides are affiliate links, disclosed above every kit box, and they help pay for the site. They never decide what a guide recommends.
Privacy, briefly
Nothing you type into a Puplr calculator is sent anywhere. Birth dates, weights and favourite names are worked out in your browser and, where they are saved at all, saved in your browser's own storage. The one exception is the My dog hub, which keeps what you enter under your account once you sign up. The full detail is in the privacy policy.
Who makes it
Puplr is made by Sundry Mill, a small independent studio.
Contact and corrections
Corrections are the most valuable thing this site can receive, especially from vets and vet nurses. If something here is out of date, or wrong for your country, it gets fixed. Send the correction with a source and it will be checked against the primary document rather than taken on trust.
